After a third consecutive clean sheet win for Charlotte FC, they are now preparing to face LA Galaxy.
The two clubs have only faced each other two times previously with each team having a win.
Both clubs sit in fifth place in their respective conferences but have gotten there in very different ways. Charlotte has 20 points on the season with a 6-5-2 record, scoring 14 goals and allowing 13, while LA Galaxy have 21 points on the season with a 5-2-6 record, scoring 24 goals and allowing 19. Both of LA Galaxy’s losses this season have come on the road, while Charlotte has won five of their seven home games this season.
Charlotte’s attack has not been very consistent recently, not being able to generate many chances as they have relied on the defense in the past couple games to secure the wins. If Charlotte’s attack can step up against LA Galaxy, it would give them a much-needed boost going up against one of the highest scoring teams in the league.
Charlotte will still be without Liel Abada, while Jere Uronen joins him in being unavailable.
Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 18 and is available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
