Canada 1-0 Australia

VANCOUVER, BC–For the evening, BC Place was known as Christine Sinclair Place as Sinclair played in her 331st and final game for Canada as they defeated Australia (who were playing without an injured Sam Kerr) 1-0 before a crowd of 48,112–a record for a women’s international friendly match in Canada.

Quinn got the match’s lone goal in the 40th minute scoring on a rebound after Kadeisha Buchanan’s initial shot hit the crossbar.

Sinclair would play 58 minutes before being subbed off for Sophie Schmidt to a standing ovation. Only Kristine Lilly has made more appearances in the international game (354) and no other man or woman has scored more goals internationally than Sinclair’s 190.
