Bradford City who shocked English football by coming back from 2-0 down to stun Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge in the 4th round claimed another Premier League scalp defeating Sunderland 2-0 at Valley Parade on Sunday.
After taking an early lead through a John O’Shea own goal, Jon Stead scored for the fifth successive round to help put Bradford into the quarter-finals watched by 24,021, their biggest home crowd for more than half a century. The Bantams enter the 1/4 final for the first time in 35 years.
They are now just one win away from Wembley where the semi finals take place.
Middlesbrough, conquerors of Manchester City, could not repeat the feat and went down 2-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates.
