A look back at the Timbers draw versus the Dynamo

For the Portland Timbers this past game in midweek in Space City, suddenly they found their lost playmaker. With a newcomer in Brian Fernandez after his transfer raised many eyebrows, in the end it was worth it!

Too soon to mention, but the lad cause an overall impression with that goal in just two minutes when he made his MLS debut.

Still the expectancy of a player of that caliber coming from a very competitive league situated South of the Border, tells you of what to expect from this player and the turnarounds to come.

As many state that defense wins games so does its offense and in spite of a three game winning span, the Timbers attack somehow was lacking something in its creativity to beat the opposing nets.

Somehow this draw in Houston expose the Timbers resurgence as a total contender and with that challenging start in the road, this is seeing its end until their home opener in June 1st against a hardened LAFC.

With that formation that Giovanni Savarese finally started working in that dynamic and effective 4-4-2 we are to brace for more exciting things to come from this squad that never seems to amaze many in its game.

This team does not lack fight or gives up so easily but has shown a total fight when its down in the canvas and getting up to give the opposition a run with misery.

To see a game changer in Brian Fernandez is somehow a completion of that circle that Gio envisioned since the start of this season, so far the defensive game has become effective but with some corrections needed.

In addition of seeing how this are considered as a weak spot for the Rose City side and now is seeing a total improvement, now the offensive game will see that much-needed boost.

This team excels in boldness, starting with its manager making all sorts of accurate moves and these are working wonders in this squad, still the long road to reach many goals is very promising.
