Toronto, ON – After two consecutive victories, Toronto FC is still in the top rankings within the Eastern Conference. However their rival tonight is the leader after their last win of 2-0 against Colorado Rapids.
Once again, the teamwork gives fruit from Greg Vanney’s forwards. At minute 8, the icon of the Canadian team successfully scores with a shot on the bottom of the left post.
On a roll, SG10 comes in at minute 38 with another goal, bringing the score to 2-0 and so very close to the end of the second half. Giovinco not only scored twice, he was assisting, serving, and even defending… gave it all for his team.
To create more excitement, Orlando sneaks in a goal in the extra time, orchestrated by Kaka with the help of his teammates Larin and Rivas.
The Italian player exceeded expectation in comparison to rival Brazilian, Kaka. Shortly within the second half, Kaka was replaced, giving full leadership of the encounter to the leader of the Canadian team.
In the second part of the match, Orlando was all over the TFC area. This is also when the 1st yellow card appeared at minute 50, one of many.
Awesome performance once more from Alex Bono, another growing hero or the Reds. All 26 200 fans made him feel at home, with every touch to the ball, the BMO Field would vibrated through the rafters.
At the end of the match, Toront head coach, Greg Vanney, did affirm that for the next matches, only those deserving to be on the field would have the priviledge to be on it.
Interesting fact to note, Greg Vanney celebrated his 100th game this evening… Cheers to him!!!
