Cascadia 4 : 0 Western Armenia

Cascadia recovered from the disappointment of losing to Karpatalya with a convincing 4-0 win over Western Armenia.

A Calum Ferguson goal in the 26th minute put Cascadia on the way to their third win in the 2018 ConIFA World Cup.

The score became 2-0 shortly after half time when Max Oldham who  had replaced Keaton Levock finally scored his first goal of the Cup. It was soon 3-0 and Cascadia were finally cruising after Ferguson’s second of the night.

In doing so, he became Cascadia’s leading scorer but he was soon to make less salubrious history when his progress was halted after a green card for dissent in an incident which also saw the Armenian number 23 Berberyan dismissed. Yuri Farkas came on for Ferguson.

Nevertheless Kitsap Pumas’ Haddadi tapped the fourth into an empty net following good work from Farkas on the left with the Cascadians having a one man advantage.

They will now play Panjab who beat Barawa 5-0 for the fifth placed spot in their final game of the tournament.
