Gustavo Bou, Henry Kessler rewarded with Team of the Match day 4 honors

FOXBOROUGH, MA– Following the New England Revolution’s 1-0 victory over Nashville SC, defender Henry Kessler and forward Gustavo Bou have made the MLS Team of the Week!

New England Revolution center back Henry Kessler obtained a starting position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 4 following his stellar defensive performance versus Nashville SC on March 18th. Kessler, who played the full 90 minutes finished the match with 8.0 match rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Kessler had 0 total shots on the night with 80 touches and 9 passes into the final third. The defender went 52/67 (78%) on accurate passes throughout the match with 7/16 accuracy on long balls (44%). Kessler defensively was 3/3 (100%) on tackles won with 3 blocks, 2 clearances (2 of which were headed clearances), 1 interception, along with 13 recoveries. He went 4/4 (100%) on ground duels and was 3/7 (43%) on aerial duels won. This is Henry Kessler’s second appearance in the MLS Team of the Matchday this season.

Along with Kessler, New England Revolution designated player forward Gustavo Bou managed to make a substitute appearance in the MLS Team of the Matchday 4 following his fantastic performance. Bou managed to play 85 minutes and obtained an 8.2 Man of the Match rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Gustavo had 1 goal on 3 total shots (67% accuracy) with 1 big chance missed. In the attack, Bou went 23/32 (72%) on accurate passes with 0 chances created. He managed 46 touches with 2/3 successful dribbles (67%). His passes in the final third tallied 5 with 0/2 (0%) accurate crosses and 5/6 (83%) accurate long balls. He managed to get dispossessed 0 times throughout the match and was noted as an offensive threat that was always in an attacking position. Bou was offside 2 times during the match.
